A mother is set to go through about five decades in jail after she was sentenced for killing her ten-year-old girl. Sharon Carrillo, 35, was condemned to 48 years in jail for executing Marissa Kennedy, whose severely battered body was found behind the family’s home in Stockton Springs, Maine in February 2018.
Carrillo supposedly wailed in court on Friday morning as examiners sketched out the awful proof against her before her sentence was declared. Examiners said Carrillo beat Kennedy to death ‘over a time of months’ with clench hands, feet, a mop handle and a belt clasp.
Legal hearers got notification from a specialized curriculum educator who visited the family’s home five days before Marissa’s demise.
The educator apparently left Carrillo’s home worried about inappropriate medicine after Marissa was ‘somewhat shaky’ on her feet and had a huge wound on her head. Examiners said the beatings left Marissa unfit to walk and slurring her discourse after disciplines that got ‘wild.’
‘Sharon said that toward the end, Marissa couldn’t walk and her discourse was slurred. In any case, Sharon, Marissa’s own mom, thought Marissa was faking it so she beat her once more.’ ‘Sharon said she knew Marissa expected to go to the medical clinic, however they didn’t take her since she was anxious about the possibility that they would get in a tough situation.’
Assistant Attorney General Leanne Zainea said that Carillo and her offended spouse, Julio Carrillo, demanded the passing was unplanned – yet Zainea said their treatment of Marissa added up to torment. The clinical analyst affirmed that Marissa’s heart in the end ‘gave out’ from steady pressure, wounds and diseases brought about by the maltreatment. Julio Carillo confessed to killing and is as of now carrying out a 55-year jail punishment.
