The Mandalorian is a Western space series which is premiered on Disney+. It is the original live-action series in the Star Wars franchise. Jon Favreau created the series for Disney+.

Season 2 was already in development when season 1 arrived on Disney Plus. Creator Jon Favreau also revealed the second season on Instagram after just one episode was premiered.
The Mandalorian season 2 will arrive on Disney+ in October 2020.

It is for sure that Pedro Pascal will reprise his role as The Mandalorian.
Also, we can assume at least some of the supporting characters to appear in the second season. So these stars may appear in the second season: Gina Carano (Cara Dune), Werner Herzog (The Client) Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon), and Nick Nolte (voice of Kuiil).
Carl Weathers, who is also set to direct a second season episode, will probably come back in the role of bounty hunter Greef Carga.

Bob Iger earlier gave a hint that The Mandalorian could extend apart from another season, saying that Disney is thinking of “the hope of introducing it with more characters and taking those characters in their direction in courses of series.”
