Scientists from the National Aeronautics And Space Administration (NASA) have revealed some really interesting information.
As per the planetary experts at the U.S based space agency, NASA, new neighbors have detected near the Earth’s vicinity.
Astronomers and planetary experts at the NASA-funded Catalina Sky Survey stated that they might have located an asteroid that is caught in our blue planet, Earth’s gravity.
Kacper Wierzchos tweeted Tuesday on his official handle where he said “Earth has a new temporarily captured object/Possible mini-moon called 2020 CD3. On the night of Feb. 15, my Catalina Sky Survey teammate Teddy Pruyne and I found a 20th magnitude object”.
BIG NEWS (thread 1/3). Earth has a new temporarily captured object/Possible mini-moon called 2020 CD3. On the night of Feb. 15, my Catalina Sky Survey teammate Teddy Pruyne and I found a 20th magnitude object. Here are the discovery images. pic.twitter.com/zLkXyGAkZl

As per the information received from the sources, Wierzchos estimated that the space rock is somewhere between 1.9 and 3.5 meters in diameter. The Minor Planet Center recognized the near-Earth object, and it obviously entered Earth’s orbit about three years ago.
It is reported that this is the second asteroid that is known to have invaded into Earth’s orbit. The earlier one, 2006 RH120, was also found by the CSS and circled Earth for 18 months over 2006 and 2007.
