Well, we know that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is not going to be out for over a year, but this factor has not lessened the anticipation of all the fans of Marvel Cinematic Universe. Scott Derrickson s the original director of Doctor Strange, and a recent tweet from him has led some people to believe that Natasha Lyonne could have been in the film if he was still attached.
Three months ago, in January of 2020, Scott Derrickson departed the film being its director. Well, he was the director of the first Doctor Strange film and revealed the factor that led him to leave this sequel project was creative differences. But, we still have our amazing Derrickson attached to the movie as an executive producer.
According to a recent tweet by Scott, the texts suggests that Natasha Lyonne could still be in the film had he been a director!
Earlier, Marvel did say in a statement that the Studios and Scott Derrickson have amicably parted ways on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness because of creative differences. Marvel added that they remain grateful to Scott for all the contributions he made to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Then we had a tweet from Derrickson, who said that Marvel and he have mutually agreed to part way on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the reason being creative differences. Scott added that he is thankful for the collaboration and will remain on the project as an executive producer.

Just a month later after the exchange of these tweets, news came out that Sam Raimi, the guy who helped Spider-Man Trilogy that stars Tobey Maguire is going to come on board as the director of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
