Season 3 of NARCOS MEXICO is hoped for by fans of the popular Netflix show after its dramatic second series. Here are all the fans who need to know about the future of the show.
Will there be another series of Narcos: Mexico?
Fans of the famous spin-off Narcos are hoping the show will return for another season in the future.
This comes after the third season that ended in a cliffhanger, which is hoped that viewers are getting into a possible third season. Currently, Netflix has not confirmed whether it will bring the show for the third season.
This is because the streaming service typically waits a few months before announcing the future of its broadcasts. Fans will have to wait to hear some news about the next series of shows around March 2020.
However, while Netflix has not confirmed the future of the series, showrunner Eric Newman would like to see the show continue.
He told the Hollywood reporter how he would like to continue the series to this day in Mexico if he was allowed to.
When will Narcos season 3 be released?
If Narcos Mexico were to return for the third season, fans may not see him for a while. So far in the series, there are about 13 months between seasons on Netflix. The first release was released in November 2018 before the second release in February 2020. Therefore, it seems that viewers should not expect to see the new series until at least 2021.
What will happen in Narcos season 3?
While Narcos’ third season has yet to be confirmed, there are some suggestions on what might happen next.
The second season of the show ended with the fall of Felix Gallardo (played by Diego Luna) when the boss of the drug was arrested. However, as fans of the show’s history know, Gallardo began in the 1990s, continuing to control his mark from prison. The show also marks the rise to power of Amado Carrillo Fuentes (José María Yazpik) in the Mexican drug world.
This was shown in the final scenes as DEA Walt Breslin (Scoot McNairy) visits Gallardo in prison.
During the debate, Gallardo says the seat of power will move from Guadalajara to Juarez. As viewers will know, this is where Fuentes controls so that he can set the story for another era. The upcoming series also seems to explore more about El Chapo (Alejandro Edda) who has so far played a small role in the series.
Speaking about the future of the show, the emerging Newman also spoke with the Hollywood journalist about the presence of a story in which Breslin could return.
