Jackleen Elizabeth Mullen, 23, and Audrevious Jarrell Williams, 26, were arrested Wednesday morning in South Carolina, the Rock Hill officials said.
India Martin was a special need and disabled kid, Rock Hill Police Det Keenan McCrorey said in court Wednesday, as announced by The Herald.
Little India was discovered dead inside a bureau compartment in the room the couple shared, as indicated by McCrorey.
He told an appointed authority the girl gave indications of injury from beating and respiratory suffering.
The analyst said Mullen “indicated no feeling” during the examination or when criminologists discovered her little girl’s body.
“We found this youngster, dead, stuffed in a cabinet,” McCrorey said in court before mentioning to deny attach to Mullen.
The couple had lied about India’s whereabouts to cops prior in the examination and asserted the tot was remaining with family in North Carolina, as per McCrorey.
Mullen and Williams were quiet about the details of their case in court on Wednesday.
Judge Jane Modla denied to connect to the couple and said in court that police blamed the injurious mother for being India’s parental figure at the time of the girl’s death.
Police Responded To The House After A Complaint
Cops reacted to the couple’s home in Rock Hill at around 11:30 pm Tuesday in the wake of getting a report from the York County Sheriff’s office about possible kid victims, police disclosed to The Herald.
India resided the home with Mullen and Williams, as per cops, who identified him as Mullen’s lover. Modla requested that the supposed killers have no contact with the enduring youngsters while their case is pending.
Mullen was arrested a day after she conceded to a fraud charge in York County criminal court, court records appear.
Whenever sentenced, she could confront life in jail, Modla said in court.
Mullen and Williams’ case is being explored by Rock Hill police, the York County Coroner’s Office and the State Law Enforcement Division kid casualty unit, authorities said.
