Lucifer Season 5: Release Date Officially Announced, What To Expect From Devil’s Return?

Lucifer is a supernatural crime drama series to watch. Since narrowly avoiding cancellation just two years ago after a huge fan campaign, Lucifer is now ready with its long-awaited fifth chapter. The good news is the series could go even further after the 5th season. The show got its renewal for season 5 in June 2019.

The streaming giant Netflix announced the premiere date for season 5 part 1. In April 2020, it was reported that the production work for the fifth season had been put on halt due to the ongoing health crisis coronavirus.

What Is The Release Date Of Season 5?

Netflix has confirmed that season 5 part one will be premiered on August 21, 2020. The official release date was announced on the official Twitter account of the show. On June 21, the release date was also published on the official Netflix Twitter account; however, later, the tweet was removed, and the reason is not known why Netflix has done so. It is supposed that it was an accidental leak by the streaming giant.

Cast Of Lucifer Season 5

The character of Lucifer Morningstar and Detective Chloe Decker will be played again by Tom Ellis and Lauren German. Dennis Haysbert, as the great Almighty, will make a comeback. It is expected that Kevin Alejandro will be back in the role of Detective Dan Espinoza, Lesley-Ann Brandt will play the role of Mazikeen, Aimee Gracia will be seen as Ella Lopez and Dr. Linda Martin will be performed by Rachael Harris.

What Can We Expect From Season 5?

Season 5 will have 16 episodes, and it will be divided into two parts. There will be eight episodes in the first part, and in the second part, another eight episodes will drop. Season 5, 10th episode is named “Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam,” as the name suggests it will be a musical episode. Unlike Season 1, Lucifer will not see as striking a deal to make a comeback to Earth.

The season 4 finale episode ended with Lucifer back on the throne. It is expected that in season 5, Lilith, Adam’s first wife will make a comeback with Eve, saying that she tamed the “beasts of the nights.”
