Normal People is an Irish drama series of BBC Three and Hulu. It is penned by Sally Rooney, Alice Birch, and Mark O’Rowe. Lenny Abrahamson and Hettie Macdonald direct the series. It is inspired by the book of Sally Rooney of the identical name. It features stars like Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal in the main lead. The series tells the story of the complicated relationship between Marianne and Connell, who are from different backgrounds, and they both live in Ireland.

BBC Three and Hulu did not renew the series for a second season till now. But it will surely happen in the future as the first season has received excellent ratings and popularity around the globe. Usually, networks count how many viewers watched the series and the ratings, so in that case, we are hopeful for a new season.
Earlier, co-producer Ed Guiney talked with DigitalSpy, so he said that the creators are working on other project, adapting Conversations with Friends novel as a TV series.
As per the words of the co-producer, we can now understand that we have to wait for the second season for a long time. The team of Normal People is now working on another project and it will take plenty of time to complete but Guiney also said that after that they will start working on the second season of Normal people.
So right now we can’t provide a date for Normal People season 2 but unfortunately, fans may have to wait for years.
If the second season happens, then we can expect these stars to appear in it: Daisy Edgar-Jones as Marianne Sheridan, Paul Mescal as Connell Waldron, Sarah Greene as Connell’s mum Lorraine, Eliot Salt as Marianne’s friend Joanna, and Desmond Eastwood as former roommate Niall. Unfortunately, there are no plot details for it.
