Back in 2012, BBC came up with the period drama series titled Call The Midwife. It is created by Heidi Thomas who is also the executive producer of the series alongside Pippa Harris. The long time running series cast stars like Jessica Raine, Miranda Hart
Laura Main, Jenny Agutter, Pam Ferris, and Judy Parfitt in the lead roles. The series is set in 1960 s and centered on the story of midwives residing in East London. It has received a positive response from the critics, especially for cast performances.
The series is inspired by the memoirs of Jennifer Worth. The ninth season just finished airing episodes this year. Now fans are expecting a tenth season of the period drama series. So below are all the details for the new season:
The great news is the historical drama series Call The Midwife is already renewed not only for the tenth but also for the eleventh season. BBC announced back in March 2019 that the series is renewed for two seasons and Christmas specials also. It was expected because the series has received love from the audiences and the ratings are also high for it.
So the BBC has shown confidence in their series because it is running successfully for a long time.

Before the delay in the production, a Christmas special was scheduled to release in December 2020 and then the tenth season in January 2021. But now the new season will take a bit longer time to start airing episodes. A new release date is not announced for the tenth season.
