Back in 2018, Fox came up with the medical series titled The Resident. It is co-created by Amy Holden Jones who is also the executive producer of the series alongside Antoine Fuqua, Oly Obst, Phillip Noyce, Todd Harthan, and David Boorstein. It cast stars like Matt Czuchry, Manish Dayal, Emily VanCamp, Shaunette Renée Wilson, and Bruce Greenwood, in the main lead roles.
Season 3 of the medical series ended this year and now fans are asking for a new season. The great news is Fox has already renewed the series for a fourth season. The Resident Season 4 Will Mention About Coronavirus
The Resident centered on staff members of Chastain Park Memorial Hospital regarding their responsibilities and personal lives. When Fox announced that they will come up with the fourth season fans started asking that if the new season will talk about the coronavirus pandemic or not. During an interview with Us Weekly, Co-creator Amy Holden Jones said that the fourth season will mention about the ongoing pandemic situation.
She also mentioned that when the fourth season begins, it will talk about the early days of the pandemic. In the new season, we will see how doctors and nurses’ life impacted by the outbreak. The first episode of the new season is penned by Dr. Daniela Lamas and M.D. Eric Lu. Lamas is actually serving in an ICU in Boston.
Release Date
A release date is not revealed for the fourth season of the medical drama series. Also, the fourth season is now in the early stage of development and maybe the shooting will happen late for the new season due to the pandemic.
The resident season 4 is expected to release on Fox sometime in 2021. If Fox announces anything about it we will inform you.
