Pamela Adlon and FX came up with the black comedy series Better Things back in 2016. Adlon created the series alongside Louis C.K. and it is produced by Joanne Toll. It cast Adlon in the main lead as Sam Fox with Mikey Madison, Hannah Alligood, Olivia Edward, and Celia Imrie in the supporting roles. The series tells the story of a heroine who takes care of her three daughters while facing the stresses of working in Hollywood.

Pamela Adlon Signed Deal with FX
Back in May 2020, it was declared that the creator and star Pamela Adlon has signed an overall deal with FX that includes season 5 of Better Things. This deal comprises of all scripted and unscripted shows. So it’s a piece of very good news for the fans of Adlon as she is coming up with many things for them.
FX also praised her in the announcement of the fifth season, they said Adlon is one of the most skilled artists in the business, which is represented through her work.
The fifth season is now in the early stage of development as Adlon is busy in penning the script of it.
