The actor who plays Montrose Freeman on Lovecraft Country says he is scared whenever there are magic scenes.
WHERE DID HE SHARE HIS INSECURITY TOWARDS MAGIC?
In an interview the star told the interviewer that he was scared in most of the scenes. He told everyone, including his cast sitting beside him, that he was born in a Caribbean household where sorcery was always a topic of discussion. Still, his mother told him that sorcery does not exist if you don’t believe in it, Micheal explains still he is leery when filming any related scenes.
Although Micheal K William did not have to deal with monsters in the movie, he had to dabble with black magic for sure.
Williams told everyone that he used to keep extra crystals with him whenever there was a scene with Black Magic in it. He says that the experience made him revisit the power of belief and faith, especially as he knows there are others who genuinely believe in sorcery.
