Streaming Guide

Where to Watch

Every major platform's catalogue, what's actually worth watching there, and where the best new releases land first.

How we track availability

Streaming rights shift weekly. A film on Netflix this Friday might be on Prime by Sunday. We refresh availability daily by cross-checking each platform's official catalogue API and reading the licensing trade press — Variety, Hollywood Reporter, Deadline, FilmCompanion.

Every film and series page shows current availability. This page is the bird's-eye view: who has what, who's strongest where, and which platform fits your taste.

Streaming FAQ

Where to stream — common questions

How often is "where to watch" updated?
Daily. Streaming rights change weekly and we re-check every platform's catalogue API in the early morning US Eastern. If a title moves from Netflix to Prime mid-week, the change appears here within 24 hours.
Why do some films show different platforms in different countries?
Streaming licenses are sold market-by-market. We tag availability for the US, UK, and India primarily, with notes when a major film is in only one region. For other markets, check the platform's own search.
Are subscriptions to multiple platforms worth it?
For most US households, two platforms cover ~85% of the films we rate 8.0+. The pairing depends on taste: Netflix + Max for prestige TV + originals; Prime + Apple TV+ for indie + arthouse; JioHotstar + Sony LIV for Indian content. We don't recommend more than three concurrent.
Do you include free streaming services?
Yes, when relevant. Tubi, Pluto TV, and Plex stream a surprising amount of older catalogue free with ads. We tag them when a film is currently free-to-stream and link to the official catalogue page.
What about rental and purchase options?
For films not currently on subscription, we list rental prices on Apple TV, Amazon, and Google Play. Pricing is captured live; we do not earn affiliate revenue from rental purchases.
Can I get a notification when a title becomes available?
Subscribe to The Morning Brief. We flag major catalogue moves (e.g., when Oppenheimer hit Peacock) in the weekday brief.
