The Best Shows, Worth Your Time

Season-by-season scores, where they stream, and who's actually worth bingeing.

About this archive

Twenty hours of your weekend is too much for the wrong show. Every series here has been watched season-by-season — full episode counts, not "the first three" — and scored on the same four-pillar Wise Score as our films.

From prestige cable to Korean originals, Indian thrillers to British procedurals — if it's on Netflix, Prime, Disney+, JioHotstar, Apple TV+ or Max, we've probably already finished it. New season reviews land Sunday evenings.

Highest-rated

Season-by-season

Score the season, not the show.

We score each season separately. A Season 3 of 6.4 doesn't erase a Season 1 of 9.1 — both stay on the record.

Pick the right entry point

Every review starts with "Where to begin."

For long-running shows, we tell you which season is the on-ramp and which episodes to skip — including the rare "start from Season 2" advisory.

No spoilers above the cut

Twist-free analysis, by design.

The verdict and Wise Score appear above any plot specifics. Spoiler sections sit below a clear warning band.

Frequently Asked

About our series reviews

Do you review every season of a series?
Yes, if a show keeps producing. We publish a separate Wise Score per season so a sophomore slump doesn't bury a great pilot run. Each season page links to the others so you can see the show's arc at a glance.
When do new series reviews go live?
Sunday evenings, US Eastern. Major releases (HBO finales, Netflix global launches) get same-day coverage. Our release calendar previews what is coming.
How long do you watch before reviewing?
Full season. We don't publish "first three episodes" verdicts; if a season is eight episodes, we have watched eight. Limited series get reviewed only after all episodes drop.
Do you cover Indian, Korean, and other non-English series?
Heavily. About 40% of our series coverage is from outside the US/UK — including K-drama, Tamil OTT originals, anime, and Latin American thrillers. Each has a dedicated critic. See our team page for regional desks.
Is the Wise Score for series the same as for movies?
Same four pillars (visuals, story, acting, rewatch value), same 10-point scale. We adjust pacing expectations — a 10-episode season has a different rhythm than a 110-minute film — but the math is identical.
Where can I see which streaming service has each show?
Every series page includes current "where to watch" availability for Netflix, Prime, Disney+, JioHotstar, Apple TV+, Max, Sony LIV, and ZEE5. The full grid is at where to watch.
