Vikrant Massey (b. 1987, Bandra, Mumbai) started in television — playing supporting roles in Balika Vadhu and Qubool Hai — before transitioning to film. He’s now one of the most reliable leads in Hindi-language cinema, especially in films that take their subjects seriously: Lipstick Under My Burkha, A Death in the Gunj, Cargo, Chhapaak, and the career-defining 12th Fail.
Massey plays small, real men with patience. He never reaches for big gestures. His Manoj in 12th Fail is the gold standard of the genre.
Lives in Mumbai with his wife Sheetal Thakur.
